The Mourning Forecast

Empowering families and professionals to navigate the challenges of pregnancy & child loss

Our Mission

Here at The Mourning Forecast we honor the lives of babies gone too soon and support the families who love them. Through bereavement photography, supportive community events, grief resources, and professional education, we create spaces where grief is seen, love is remembered, and no one walks alone.

How We Hold Space

Community Events & Advocacy

We hold the camera when words aren’t enough. We sit with families in their grief and guide them toward resources, connection, and support. We teach nurses and birth workers how to enter these moments with compassion. And we create spaces where babies are remembered, stories are shared, and families discover they are part of a community that understands — where no one grieves alone.

In Their Words

Glory Bee’s Mom

“Having her pictures gave me the strength to hand her over in our final goodbyes knowing I will never have to worry about forgetting the details of her face or how she fit in my palm.”

Brandon, Grayson & Aaron’s Mom

“The images have helped me grasp the concept that there is no “getting over” or “moving on” from this loss, but I can carry it with me gracefully.”

Maxwell’s Mom

“My photos have given me something to return to when the ache feels too big. When words fail, the photos remind me that he was real, that he existed, and that love continues even through loss.”

Autumn’s Mom

“When I look at my photos, I can see my girl. I can instantly remember her smell, the softness of her hair. I’m right back there, just being a mom, taking photos of her baby like every other mom.”
